Welcome to Mr. Mintz's blog!

Hey guys!  I'm so excited to be starting this new blog to update you on recent and upcoming events in Room 500, land of the Mintz Money.

I'm very proud to report that my first period Algebra students scored 81% on their benchmark, which shattered the district average of 65%.  However, we still lost to Ms. Helguera's class who got an amazing 83%.  Muir is far and away the top school in the district in HE Algebra.  We did beat her class on the fundraiser though thanks to an outstanding effort.

Third period Algebra averaged 45% on their benchmark, which was very good considering the highest class at the school earned 52% and the third best class was 46%.  Our class is right in the middle which is pretty good.  We've tackled equations and inequalities with one variable and we're moving on to graphing equations with two variables in slope-intercept form.

We just took our Pre-Algebra benchmarks in Periods 2, 5 and 6.  Period 2 averaged 67%, period 5 scored 62% and period 6 averaged 57%.  Our total pre-algebra average is 62% which beat our goal of 60%.  Great job guys!  Let's do even better on the next one!
